Visual structure and pattern evident in the brain’s anatomy and function inspire these works on paper. Using printmaking techniques – intaglio, relief, aquatint, Chine-collé – I build images that incorporate sources from the fields of perception, memory, navigation, and computation. Brain anatomy and pattern, layered with maps, schematics, and language, intend to suggest the fragility of memory and the collision of biology and culture.
